Everyone will LOVE these festive Christmas M&M Chocolate Chip Cookies!
Adding a festive touch to a classic cookie recipe is an easy way to make holiday treats throughout the year, and I personally think that these Christmas M&M Chocolate Chip Cookies are one of the best! Packed with chocolate chips and Christmas M&M's, these decadent cookies are so easy to make and are sure to disappear quickly at holiday gatherings and cookie exchanges. Not only are these the perfect sweet treat to leave out with a glass on milk on that special night, but the dough can be frozen ahead of time if you are in a time crunch!
Combine all of the cookie dough ingredients in a mixing bowl using a hand mixer or stand mixer. Next, add in the chocolate chips, and Christmas M&M's for some festive color (and additional chocolate). You can also add a generous amount of Christmas sprinkles for more color!
Use a medium cookie scoop to add cookie dough balls onto a baking sheet lined with a silicone baking mat or parchment paper. Space the cookies 1" or so apart to keep them from spreading into each other.
Bake for 10 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown. For a soft and chewy cookie, do not over-bake. Let the cookies cool on the pan for 5 minutes, and then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
Once cooled, enjoy the cookies with a tall glass of milk! You can also package the cookies to gift to friends and family to enjoy for the holiday season. I've also heard rumors that these cookies are also a hit with Santa!!
