A soft and chewy peanut butter cookie, rolled in purple sugar sprinkles, and topped with a decadent Hershey’s Kiss, these decadent cookies are the perfect dessert for Halloween, birthday parties, or scary movie night.
This recipe for Halloween Blossom Cookies couldn't be easier! You'll need just a few simple ingredients for the blossom cookie dough, and then some additional ingredients for a Halloween twist: food coloring, purple sugar sprinkles. Of course, a blossom cookie wouldn't be a blossom cookie without the milk chocolate Hershey’s Kisses*!
*You can use any variation of Kisses - almond, dark chocolate, or hugs!
Follow the recipe below to mix up the cookie dough. Don't forget to add in the purple gel food coloring to get a spooky purple dough! Roll the dough into balls, and then cover them completely in purple sugar sprinkles.
Bake the cookies according to recipe directions, and immediately top the cookies afterward with a Kiss in the center. After cooling on the pan for a few minutes, allow cupcakes to completely cool on a wire rack.
Halloween Blossom Cookies

Ingredients:
- 1 ½ cups flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- ½ teaspoon baking powder
- ½ cup sugar
- ½ cup brown sugar
- ½ cup creamy peanut butter
- ½ cup butter, softened
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Purple gel food coloring
- Purple sugar sprinkles
- 36 Hershey’s Kisses (milk chocolate)
Directions:
- Preheat the oven to 375º.
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside.
- In a large mixing bowl, beat the sugar, brown sugar, peanut butter, and butter until light and fluffy.
- Add egg, vanilla, and purple food coloring and mix until combined.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and baking soda.
- Add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients. Mix well until fully combined.
- Use a cookie scoop and gently roll and form the dough into balls with your hands.
- Roll each dough ball in the purple sprinkles and place on the prepared baking sheet.
- Bake cookies for 10 to 13 minutes. The edges should be golden brown with a soft center.
- Press one Kiss in the center of each cookie immediately after removing from the oven.
- Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire cooling rack to cool completely.
Storage:
- Store cookies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 4 days.
- Freeze: Layer cooled cookies between parchment or wax paper, and store in a freezer-safe, airtight container for up to 2 months.
