SAFETY FIRST: Before getting started, wear disposable glovesprotect your workspace, and be sure to work in a well-ventilated area!

Prepare about 4.25 oz (130ml) of Amazing Deep Pour epoxy according to package directions. Pour in a 2:1 ratio of resin and hardener to a large mixing cup. Slowly stir the resin together with a stir stick for two minutes or until combined. If the resin looks cloudy or has any streaks running through it, you need to keep stirring it until it becomes clear.

Add a generous amount of white iridescent glitter and a drop or two of white pigment to the resin and stir with a clean stir stick until evenly incorporated. Give the resin a few minutes to "rest" and allow the bubbles to rise to the top.

Slowly pour the resin into the mushroom jar mold and allow it to drip down to the bottom. Gently squeeze the mold along the bottom edge to help release any trapped air bubbles. Alternate pouring some resin, and then working the bubbles out until you have filled the mold to the top. Do NOT overfill.

Let the mold sit for a few minutes, and then use a straw, heat gun, or spritz with 91% alcohol to remove any surface bubbles. Leave the jar to cure in an undisturbed, well ventilated area for at least 24 hours.

Next, we're going to prepare the mushroom lid mold with a bit of extra sparkle! Turn the mold inside out. Then, use a small brush to apply a thin layer of holographic mica powder to each of the circles. To clean up any mica powder that ends up outside the circle areas, dip a cotton swab in some alcohol and carefully remove the mica powder. Use the dry, opposite end to wipe away the alcohol.

Prepare 5 oz (150ml) of Amazing Deep Pour epoxy according to package directions. Pour in a 2:1 ratio of resin and hardener to a large mixing cup. Slowly stir the resin together with a stir stick for two minutes or until combined. If the resin looks cloudy or has any streaks running through it, you need to keep stirring it until it becomes clear.

Add a generous amount of "Forest King" (blue/green) chameleon mica powder to the resin and stir with a clean stir stick until evenly incorporated. Give the resin a few minutes to "rest" and allow the bubbles to rise to the top.

Pour the resin into the mushroom lid mold until it is filled to the top. Be careful to not overfill the mold. Let the resin sit in the mold for a few minutes, then use a straw, heat gun, or spritz with 91% alcohol to remove any surface bubbles. Leave the lid to cure in an undisturbed, well ventilated area for at least 24 hours.

Now for my favorite step in the process: demolding! You will know that the resin is cured when it is no longer tacky to the touch and easily pulls away from the edges of the molds. Carefully remove the cured jar and lid from the molds. Trim away any excess resin with scissors or a craft knife. Sand down edges, if necessary, and bring back the shine with clear spray sealant.

If the resin still feels flexible or tacky, it may just need more time to cure. Let the pieces sit in a warm, flat area to cure for a few hours (or days) to completely harden.

The lid has indentations around each of the circles. To make them pop and to give the lid a "finished" look, use a white fine acrylic paint marker (or a thin paint brush and acrylic paint) to fill in the areas. If necessary, add more than one layer for a solid finish. However, make sure that the previous layer has dried completely before adding on another!!

I can't get enough of this lid! The vibrant color and shimmer from the chameleon mica powder is truly eye-catching and the color shifts between green and blue at different angles. The addition of holographic mica powder adds extra sparkle and is a fun contrast.

Place the mushroom lid on top of the base to make sure it fits. If the resin is still pliable or if you over-filled the lid mold, you may have some fitting issues.

For an over-filling problem, gently sand down any problem areas until you have a good fit. For pliable resin, fit the pieces together, and then gently take them apart to finish curing. If they finish curing while the lid is still on, the pieces will stick together - possibly permanently.

Now the jar can be filled with any of your favorite trinkets; like jewelry, treats, or even small items like paperclips!
