Rainbow Arrow Kandi Cuff Bracelet

Use colorful pony beads to make your own Rainbow Arrow Kandi Cuff Bracelet!

Rainbow Pony Bead Bracelet

There are so many things you can create with pony beads, but one of my daughter's favorite is making bracelets. This Rainbow Arrow Kandi Cuff Bracelet is a colorful and simple project that kids of all ages (especially teens) can make, and it's so cute! In case you're wondering (I did), kandi cuffs/bracelets are basically friendship bracelets made with pony beads that are popular in the rave community, and get the name "kandi" because the beads look like candy. There are a lot of fun kandi cuff patterns out there, and we're excited to make a whole collection to wear and share with friends this summer!

To make your own Rainbow Pony Bead Bracelet, you will need these supplies:

Rainbow Pony Bead Bracelet

This is the rainbow arrow pattern I used to make this bracelet. You can use any type of pony beads that you want - classic/solid, neon, pearl, glitter, etc. Lay the beads out on your workspace in the pattern first, and then string them in order afterward.

If you want, you can take a picture of the pattern to use as a reference as you build your bracelet.

Cut a length of clear elastic cord measuring about 15 inches. Thread the first row of the pattern: blue, purple, pink/red, purple, blue. Move the beads so that they are in the center of the cord.

Thread the next row of the pattern onto the left cord, but leave space between this row and the first row. Bring the cord on the right side through the second row of beads, and gently pull the ends tighter so that the first row sits above the second.

Repeat the threading of beads, one row at a time. Make sure to bring both ends of the cord through each row, and then pull them tight to "stack" the rows evenly. Each color should make an "arrow" pattern. When you get to the end of the pattern (green, blue, purple, blue, green), repeat the pattern again starting from the beginning.

For an adult-sized bracelet, I repeated the pattern 3 times. When you get all of the beads threaded onto the cord, you will need to bring the two ends together to finish the bracelet. Lay the two ends of the bracelet next to each other, and string the cord end that's in the middle through the first row of beads.

Stand the bracelet up with both ends next to each other. The cord ends should be coming out the top ends of the first and last rows. Tie the cord ends together in a double or triple knot, and gently pull to make sure it's secure. Trim the extra cord near the knot.

Now the Rainbow Arrow Kandi Cuff Bracelet is ready to wear! This is such a fun craft for kids of all ages, especially teens, and also makes a great handmade gift! As always, if you make any of these projects for yourself, I'd love to see your creations! Tag me on Instagram and Facebook, or leave a comment/photo on the project pin on Pinterest! #AFMCrafts
