Oreo Reindeer Cookies

These no-bake Oreo Reindeer cookies are a quick and easy holiday treat to make with the kids!

Reindeer Oreos

Ho, ho ho!! Oreo Reindeer cookies are a simple and sweet Christmas treat that the kids will love to help with! They only require a few ingredients, and there's absolutely no baking involved. These festive Reindeer cookies are not only adorable, but are a great addition to Christmas cookie exchanges, holiday parties, and for sharing as a sweet Christmas gift that everyone will love!

Reindeer Oreos

These Oreo Reindeer only require 3 simple ingredients: Oreos, black/chocolate candy melts, and M&Ms. There's no baking required with this recipe, and it's so easy to make that even the kids can help!!

Reindeer Oreos

Melt the black candy melts using a double boiler over low heat or microwave in a bowl on a low or defrost setting in 30 second increments. Stir often to allow even heating. Once melted, allow the black candy melts to cool* for 2-3 minutes. Pour it into a small piping bag fitted with a Wilton #3 tip or snip a tiny piece off the end of the piping bag.

Pipe small antlers onto the prepared baking sheet measuring 1-1¼ inch in length. To make them like mine, pipe two letter ‘V’s with a line down the center to connect them - or feel free create your own antler design! No matter what design you choose, just try to make them all the same size and shape. Once finished, set the baking sheet aside and allow the antlers to harden.

*It's very important to allow the black candy melts to cool a little bit before pouring it into your piping bag. If you don't, it will just ooze out all over the place. If it is coming out of the piping bag too fast, lay the bag down and allow it to cool for another minute or two before attempting to pipe again.

Melt* chocolate candy melts in the microwave or a double boiler until smooth. Place the Oreos, one at a time, onto a fork and dip it into the melted wafers until completely coated. Gently tap the fork on the side of the bowl to allow excess chocolate to drip off. Place the dipped cookie onto the prepared baking sheet.

*No matter which method you use for melting, be sure to use low heat. Melting with high heat can cause the melts to seize, which makes the chocolate thick and clumpy. Needless to say, it will make it very difficult to get an even coating on the cookies.

Reindeer Oreos

When it comes to assembling the reindeer, it’s best to work in batches of 3-4 cookies at a time. Add all of the faces first: Use 2 black sugar pearl sprinkles for eyes, and then center a red or brown M&M nose below.

Once the faces are on, add two antlers to each reindeer. The best time to put the antlers into place is when the chocolate starts to set. If the chocolate is too soft, the antlers will just slide off and may start to melt as well.

*If you don't want to use the sprinkles, you can use candy eyes or pipe melted black candy melt eyes instead.

Reindeer Oreos

After decorating all of the reindeer cookies, leave them on the baking sheet for the chocolate to completely harden. You can either let the cookies sit at room temperature for 20-30 minutes, or make it faster by putting the baking sheet in the fridge.
