SAFETY FIRST: Before getting started, wear disposable gloves, protect your workspace, and be sure to work in a well-ventilated area!
Download and print the Hogwarts House Crests on transparency film. Carefully cut the crests just outside the designs with sharp scissors.
Make sure to check the transparency packaging for printing instructions. If you print using an inkjet printer, you will need to spray a coat of clear spray sealant over the printed images to prevent the ink from bleeding into the resin. Let the sealant dry completely before moving onto the next step.

Center each of the house crests on the coaster molds, facing down. Place the Hogwarts crest face-down in the center of the coaster holder mold.
Prepare 6 oz of Amazing Clear Cast resin according to package directions. Pour in equal parts of resin and hardener to a large mixing cup. Slowly stir the resin together with a stir stick for two minutes or until combined. If the resin looks cloudy or has any streaks running through it, you need to keep stirring it until it becomes clear.
*These silicone mixing cups are my favorite! They are reusable, so there is there less waste - which is a big deal for me. There are easy-to-read measuring marks on the outside of the cup, it's flexible for easy mixing, and clean-up is a snap once the resin has cured! If you use resin often, I highly recommend giving them a try.
Slowly pour the resin into each of the coaster molds, right over the transparencies. Make sure to coordinate the right colors with the right house! To prevent a lot of trimming later, make sure to fill the mold to the top, but don't overfill. Let the resin sit for a few minutes, then use a straw, heat gun, or spritz with 91% alcohol to remove any surface bubbles.
Use a stir stick or carefully pour the black glitter resin mixture into just the outer edge of the coaster holder mold until it gets to the edge. Then, carefully pour the silver glitter resin over the center of the mold and fill it up the rest of the way.
Leave the resin coaster set to cure in an undisturbed, well ventilated area for 12-24 hours. You will know that the resin is completely cured when it is no longer tacky to the touch and easily pulls away from the edges of the molds.
If the resin still feels flexible, it may just need more time to cure. Let the pieces sit in a warm, flat area to cure for a few hours (or days) to completely harden.
Choose your favorite house coaster to hold your Butterbeer and protect your table from stains and water rings. To keep your coasters looking their best, wash with warm water and glass cleaner. Do not use steel wool, colored cleansing agents, or scrubbing pads!
