Maybe Christmas doesn't come from a store... maybe Christmas, perhaps... is a handmade set of festive Grinch-themed Christmas Heishi Bracelets!
To make your own Grinch Heishi Bracelet Set, you will need these supplies:
- Clear Elastic Jewelry Cord
- Heishi Beads (red, white green)
- Alphabet Letter Beads
- Metallic Heishi Beads
- Metallic Spacer Beads
- Binder Clip (optional)
Start by measuring your wrist and cut a length of clear elastic jewelry cord one inch longer than your measurement. If you are making the bracelet as a gift, I would recommend cutting 9" of cord to fit a 7"-8" wrist. Pre-stretch the piece of cord a few times. This will help prevent the bracelet from quickly stretching out too much as the bracelet is worn.
Attach a binder clip to one end of the cord. This is totally optional, but I like that it holds tightly to the end of the cord and helps to make it easier to thread beads on.
There are so many words or phrases you can use on a Grinch bracelet! The one I made simply says "Grinch". Feel free to follow along the tutorial to get the same look, or use these bracelet ideas as inspiration to get creative with your own Grinchy style!
First, thread a gold spacer bead onto the cord. Next, add your Grinch word or phrase to the cord, one letter bead at a time. Make sure to double-check your spelling and the direction of the letter beads! Add one more spacer bead to the cord.
Next, fill the bracelet the rest of the way with green heishi beads.
Check the fit by carefully wrapping the bracelet around your wrist. There should be about 1"-1 1/2" of cord left. Carefully remove the binder clip and hold the end of the cord. Knot the ends of the cord together in a tight knot, and then tie it a few more times. For an extra strong hold, pull the knot tight and add a small drop of super glue. Hold the knot tight until the glue dries and then trim the ends of the cord.
Start with a gold spacer bead on the cord. Next, add a red heart bead and alternate between the two beads until you have a total of three red heart beads on the cord. Fill the rest of the bracelet length with gold spacer beads.

When making bracelet sets, I like to make a third accent bracelet to coordinate with the other two bracelets. For this Grinch-themed accent bracelet, you don't need any letter beads - just red, white, and green heishi beads!
First, thread three gold heishi beads onto the cord. Next, alternate threading three red heishi beads and three white heishi beads until you have 11-12 sets on the cord. Fill the other half of the bracelet with green heishi beads.
These Grinch-themed Christmas Heishi Bracelets are my favorite accessory to wear during the holidays. Making these bracelet sets is a fun craft to do with a group, and you can easily package bracelet kits to give as holiday gifts or party favors!! As always, if you make any bracelet sets for yourself, I'd love to see your creations! Tag me on Instagram and Facebook, or leave a comment/photo on the project pin on Pinterest!
