Stand out from the crowd with this "Shine Bright" shirt (and FREE cut file) using Easyweed HTV!
My daughter and I love galaxy, well, everything! When I saw that there was galaxy-patterned Siser Easyweed HTV, I knew we had to make something out of it. Just like the galaxy, there are billions of us like there are stars. I'm always encouraging my daughter to "shine bright", so I put this design together for her to wear on a shirt to remind her. I love how the shirt turned out, and wanted to share the FREE cut file with all of you so that you can make one for yourself!

Cut the vinyl pieces out with your vinyl cutting machine, and weed away the excess using weeding tools. All of the Siser HTV, especially Easyweed HTV, weeds easier than any vinyl I have ever used and doesn't lift when you're trying to weed it. I love that I can spend more time crafting and less time worrying about weeding problems!
Center the Infinite Galaxy EasyPatterns Plus HTV down on the shirt first. An easy trick for centering vinyl on a shirt is to first fold the shirt in half, and press it with a heat press or EasyPress to create a crease. Next, fold the vinyl in half (non-sticky sides together) to make a small crease in the top and bottom of the carrier sheet. Line the creases in both the carrier sheet and the shirt up to center the vinyl.
Easyweed HTV is thinner than other vinyls, so it can be pressed at a lower temperature and only takes a few seconds to apply it to the shirt with a heat press or EasyPress. Once pressed, the backing can be peeled away while it's still hot OR you can wait until it cools down.
The next piece to apply is the Bubble Gum Easyweed HTV. Fold the piece in half to get a crease, and center it on the shirt. You need to protect the uncovered vinyl, so cover the vinyl with a press cloth. Press the vinyl again for a few seconds, and peel the backing away (hot or cold).
Apply the last three lines of the rainbow, one at a time in the same way as each layer before. Once you peel the last layer away, the shirt is complete!
For best results, wash the shirt inside-out. Easyweed HTV is durable and will last wash after wash. It's also CPSIA certified, which also makes it a great option to use on shirts for the kids!
My daughter is so excited about her new, one-of-a-kind shirt. I'm excited to try making more layered and colorful shirts now that I've found how easy HTV is to use!
