Have hours of fun with the kids playing card games with this set of Free Printable Among Us playing cards!
Do your kids like playing card games? They can be a lot of fun, and are a great boredom buster for kids of any age. This set of FREE printable Among Us-themed cards can be used to play almost all of your favorite card games! Just in case you need some card game inspiration, I'm also sharing full instructions for three different card games in this post for ages 4+! I hope you enjoy these cards just as much as we do!
Download and print the Among Us card set on regular copy paper. There are 4 pages in the printable with one of each character. So to create a complete set of cards, you will need to print two copies. You will also need 8 sheets of cardstock (in any color).
Place one piece of cardstock (sticky-side up) on your workspace. Line the printed card page up on one edge and press it down. Use a brayer tool, a scraper tool, or even a credit card to press the paper down well and to remove any air bubbles. Once it's down, press the paper again, going in all directions to make sure they are REALLY stuck together!
I really like putting the cards together this way rather than cutting/assembling separately because I don't have to worry about the edges not getting glued enough/popping up, or making sure I line things up perfectly (because I just can't). This just seemed to be a quicker and easier way for me.
Use a paper trimmer or scissors to carefully cut out all of the cards. There shouldn't be any edges popping up at all, but if you do, just use a little bit of paper adhesive if necessary. Once all 48 of the cards are cut out (from 2 copies of the set), you are ready to play!
As promised, below are instructions for THREE different card games for kids of all ages to play with this Among Us Card Set!
Among Us: Imposter
2-4 Players - Print 2 copies of the game
Recommended for ages 4+
Object: Discard all of your cards and not get left holding the Imposter card
Set Up: Remove one of the Imposter cards from the set. Shuffle the cards and deal all of the cards face down. Some players may have more cards than others. Players sort their cards and place matching card pairs face down in front of them.
How to Play:
- The player to the left of the dealer goes first.
- Make a fan out of the cards and hold them, face down, toward the player on the left.
- That player chooses one card from the fan without seeing it. If the card matches a card in their hand, they can put the new pair face down on the table. If not, they keep the card.
- Now that player fans out their cards for the player sitting to their left.
- Play continues in a circle, with players choosing cards and putting down pairs.
- Once a player has played all of their cards, they are safe.
How to Win: The game is over when everyone has played all of their cards. The player left holding the Imposter card loses.
Among Us: Discuss
2-6 Players - Print 4 copies of game
Recommended for ages 4+
Object: Collect the most sets of matching cards
Set Up: Shuffle the cards and deal 7 cards face down to each player, or deal 5 cards to each player if there are 4 or more players. Place the remaining cards face down in a draw pile where everyone can reach them.
How to Play:
- The player to the left of the dealer goes first, then continues clockwise.
- First player asks one specific person if they have any specific cards.
For example, player one might ask player two if they have an Imposter card. Player one must have at least one Imposter card in their hand in order to ask for it. - If the player asked has any matching card(s), they must give them all to player one. If the player does not have a matching card, they say “Discuss!” and player one must take 1 card from the draw pile. It is now the next player’s turn.
- Once a player has collected 4 matching cards, they place the set in front of them.
- The game ends when a player has no cards left in their hand or the draw pile runs out.
How to Win: The winner is the person who
has collected the most sets of cards when the game ends.
Among Us: Memory
1-2 Players - Print 2 copies of game
Recommended for ages 3+
Object: Collect the most sets of matching cards
Set Up: Shuffle the cards and lay the cards face down in even rows.
How to Play:
- Youngest player goes first. Player one turns two cards picture-side-up.
- If a match is made, the player takes both cards and places them in front of them. That player then takes another turn until they don't get any more matches.
- If the two cards turned over do not match, the player turns the two cards over (picture-side-down) again in the same place. The turn is over.
- The game continues until all cards have been matched and removed from the playing area.
- All players then count up their matching pairs.
How to Win: The winner is the person who has collected the most pairs of cards when the game ends.
