Brighten someone’s day with a gift box full of “sunshine” with Free Printable Gift Tag!
Life is hard. Whether you’ve got the weight of the world on your shoulders or are having a string of bad luck, it’s hard to find the positive things. I’ll always be grateful for those who went out of their way to cheer me up when I’ve had a bad day. Now I try to pass the positivity on with a handmade “Sunshine Gift Box” to make someone else’s day just a little bit brighter.
Find something to use as your gift box. Depending on how many items you plan to fill the box with will determine the size of box you need. You can use anything from a shoe box, a gift box, or do something like I did with a small, unpainted wooden crate from the craft store.
Go to the store and purchase a bunch of yellow items. Get creative! I wandered the store and found different candy bars, gum, lotion, socks, nail polish, and more. I also found an adorable Minion plush that is sure to make anyone smile!
Line the box with white tissue paper, and then arrange all of your yellow items to fit inside.
Download the Free Printable Sunshine Gift Tag file and print it out on cardstock. Use scissors to cut out the tag, and then make a hole in the top of the gift tag using a hole punch. If you didn't add a card or anything to the box, you can use the back of the tag to write a little note and sign your name.
For Personal Use Only
Some things you should know before downloading:
*Artsy-Fartsy Mama printables are for PERSONAL USE ONLY (home, school, libraries, etc).
*You may NOT modify, re-sell, redistribute, or claim the design as your own.
*Please do not remove the credits/watermarks.
*If you'd like to share this project, credit must be given to Artsy-Fartsy Mama & linked back to this post.
Attach the gift tag to the box. For the crate, I recommend tying it on using some string, ribbon, or twine.
Share the Sunshine Gift Box with someone who could use some extra love! There are so many fun yellow items out there to put in! I would love to hear your ideas! As always, I would love to see your creations! Leave me a comment and let me know, or tag a photo on Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram! #AFMcrafts

That yellow is the perfect cheery color! So funny that the Minion's face is not so excited. Very cute gift!

Too cute. I can't think of anyone who wouldn't enjoy the lift of a gift like that! I make "be good to yourself" baskets--usually with a homemade jar of sugar scrub or epsom bath salts, a crocheted dish cloth, hand stamped cards, lotion, a bath pouf, candle, lotion, etc. I look for bargains--clearance, yard sales, new thrift store treasures, etc. My cat baskets include cat-themed items including a homemade catnip mat, mouse, and toys. Christmas baskets for my church's bazaar include theme baskets--Santas, angels, snowmen, gingerbread boys--all items found over the course of the year at yard sales, thrifts, and clearance. It lets me do something extra for others on a retiree's budget!
