This easy-to-make Pumpkin Diorama is a fun twist on Halloween decorating!
Are your ready for one of the easiest Halloween projects? Making your own Halloween Pumpkin Diorama is a lot of fun and includes multiple pieces of decor in one that makes quite the statement. This is even a project you can let the kids help with - or let them choose supplies to make one of their own! I am so excited to share this project with you and hope that you love it as much as I do.
To make your own Halloween Pumpkin Diorama, you will need these supplies:
Before you start, place the figures inside the pumpkin and arrange it to your liking. Once you have everything how you want it, take a picture and then remove everything from the pumpkin. Wipe out the pumpkin terrarium to get rid of any dust or debris. Heat up the glue gun and place the tree figure down toward the back of the pumpkin. Hold it in place until the glue sets.
Work in small areas at a time and wear finger guards to protect yourself from burns. Add glue around the sides and back of the tree and place moss down on top. Add in more small pieces of moss if you feel like any areas need to be fuller.
Place the skeleton figure down inside the pumpkin and hold it in place until the glue sets. Fill in the remainder of the pumpkin "floor" with moss using glue. Don't forget your finger guards!
I thought my scene needed a little something else, so I placed a small glitter pumpkin in front of the tree and held it in place using, you guessed it, a glob of glue!
The light strand has 15 lights on it, so use a marker to add 15 spots to place the lights in the back of the pumpkin. Make them straight lines, or go random! The pumpkin is foam, so use a small screwdriver or a drill with small drill bit to poke holes over your marks.
Make sure the LED Miniature Light Strand works before this step! Carefully straighten out the strand. Poke each of the lights into the holes in the back of the pumpkin. Use some glue to hold the battery pack in place. If you have any lights that don't want to stay in place, just use a little bit of tape!
Turn the lights on and enjoy your spooky Halloween scene inside of a pumpkin! The figures with the moss and all of the "starry" lights in the background make such a statement. This is such a fun and simple Halloween craft, and is even one that the kids could help with (watch out for that hot glue though)!
As always, I would love to see your creations! Please tag me on Instagram and Facebook, or leave a comment/photo on the project pin on Pinterest!
