Create your own Halloween Costume Parade with this Free Printable Mini Halloween Coloring Book!
Halloween has always been one of my favorite holidays. When I was in school, the best part of the day was the Halloween costume parade, where we walked as a class through the different classrooms showing off our costumes as "Monster Mash" played on the intercom. This Free Printable Mini Halloween Coloring Book is a fun way for kids to create their very own Halloween costume parade during a class party or just for fun at home!
To make your own Mini Halloween Coloring Book, download and print the printable on regular copy paper (cardstock will be too thick). You will also need some scissors, and something to color with: colored pencils, markers, or crayons.
Some things you should know before downloading:
*Artsy-Fartsy Mama printables are for PERSONAL USE ONLY (okay for home, school & libraries).
*You may NOT modify, sell, redistribute, or claim the design as your own.
*Please do not remove the credits/watermarks.
*If you'd like to share this project, you may use ONE photo and credit must be given to Artsy-Fartsy Mama and linked back to this post.
To assemble the coloring book, start by folding the paper in half vertically ("hamburger" fold). Crease it well.
Unfold the paper, then fold it in half horizontally ("hot dog" fold). Keep it folded.
Fold the paper in half again, then in half one more time. This will make a mini book, but with just a few pages. When you unfold the paper, there should be a crease in between all of the images.
Fold the paper in half vertically again. With the folded side on the right, cut along the horizontal crease starting from the folded edge to the center only.
When you unfold the paper, there should be a slit in the center.
Fold the paper in half horizontally. Push the center folds out so that the opening is in a diamond shape. Bring the two ends of the diamond together so that the opening is now perpendicular to the paper.
Close the book with the front and back cover images on the outside. Crease the folds one more time. Now the book is assembled!
You can color the images of the Mini Halloween Coloring Book before or after you assemble the book. Make it as colorful as you want using colored pencils, markers, or crayons!
Flip through the colored book to see your very own custom Halloween costume parade come to life! I also love how everyone's book will be so different! Feel free to create your own mini books at your Halloween parties at home, in the classroom, or even at your local library. I would love to see your creations, so please share them with me on Instagram or Facebook!!
