Tweens everywhere will love making their own Spirit Riding Free Bottle Cap Necklace!
Season 6 of Spirit Riding Free is headed to Netflix on August 17th, and we can't wait! My daughter loves our "girls-only days" and asked if the two of us could spend some time together catching up on episodes of Spirit Riding Free to get ready for the new season. Since I love the series as well, I enthusiastically made plans for our own wild adventure including printable Spirit Riding Free activity pages, a DIY bottle cap necklace, and some delicious homemade Caramel Popcorn to share!
Spirit Riding Free, is a fun series full of adventure and friendship that is set during the 19th century in the small town of Miradero, Texas. Lucky is a 12-year-old girl who has recently moved from the city to Miradero. She encounters a wild kiger mustang named Spirit (who is the offspring of Spirit and Rain from Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron), and gradually bonds with the stallion. Lucky soon makes friends with fellow classmates and horse owners, Pru and Abigail, and the three embark on wild adventures across the land.
To make your own Spirit Riding Free bottle cap necklace you'll need:

Print out the 4x6" Free Printable Spirit Riding Free Bottle Cap Images on photo paper. Choose which image you want to use and cut it out with a 1" circle punch. My daughter's first choice was a picture of Lucky and Spirit!
Carefully place an epoxy sticker over the design. Be careful not to touch the back of the epoxy sticker or the front of the image too much. You'll be able to see your fingerprint on the finished product! Use a popsicle stick or something with an edge to rub the back of the image to help get the air bubbles out.
Add a small circle of glue on the bottle cap pendant. Press the epoxy image into the bottle cap and make sure to center it. Let the pendant dry for a few hours (according to package directions).
You can string the pendant onto your favorite chain, or you can create your own necklace using beads. My daughter loves making necklaces, so she was thrilled to arrange a variety of "bubble gum" beads from our stash to coordinate with Spirit! We don't have a bead tray, so I just use a piece of felt to keep the beads in place.
Thread the beads onto wire or elastic, and make sure to keep the bottle cap pendant in the center of your bead design.
We had a ton of fun during Spirit Riding Free girl's day, and we are ready to watch season 6 on Netflix starting August 17th.
