This is probably the easiest Halloween project I own! It was put together in about 10 minutes. My mom was so nice as to buy this Frankenstein set at a boutique for me, and all I needed was a pumpkin. This would be cute in a real pumpkin, but to keep things a little more permanent, we bought a styrofoam pumpkin and it worked great!
Supplies:
Frankenstein "Trick or Treat" Set
Styrofoam Pumpkin (taller is better)
Drill (optional)
To start, find the spot where you want the "sign" to go. Press just a little to make a mark in the pumpkin. Some faux pumpkins are hollow, so you can probably just push the dowel through on your own. The styrofoam pumpkin we got was completely solid, so we used our handy Ryobi drill to poke a hole in the pumpkin.
Repeat the dent/drill steps for all the pieces. The, add the pieces to the pumpkin, one piece at a time. It's better to have a taller pumpkin rather than a wider pumpkin so there is more room for the dowels inside the pumpkin, otherwise you might have to maneuver the pieces around to get them all to fit.
No need to glue (unless you want to), and the feet make the pumpkin flat to stand all on it's own! Super easy and so, SO cute!!
That is too cute! We love it!
