I love jewelry. I love it even more when inspiration strikes and I can also save money on jewelry.
While shopping, I saw an assorted package of turquoise polka dot, striped, and solid buttons in a variety of sizes. They obviously needed to come home with me, but I had no idea what I would do with them.
This is not a new problem.
Then it hit me: these would make adorable earrings!!

You never know if that thought will turn out the way you plan, but this project was pretty fool-proof. I kept in mind that if they turned out fugly {like a whole lot of projects do!}, then I could just take them apart and figure out something else to do with them.
You can find packages of assorted buttons at pretty much any store. I found these particular ones at Wal-Mart, but the selection is probably larger at craft or sewing/fabric stores. Any size/shape/color will work great! However, the buttons with the loop on the back won't work so great unless you cut it off.

My Supplies:
Buttons {obviously, two buttons for one pair of earrings}
Earring Posts
E-6000 Glue

Add a small amount of glue to the earring post. Don't add too much! It could ooze out the sides of the post {others won't see it, but could potentially rub on your ear, and a gluey mess just doesn't really look that great} or worse, ooze out the front holes of the button. Boo. Keep in mind that the glue will ooze out of the holes a little, but you don't want a Play-Dough effect happening...

Lightly press the earring post to the back of the button and lay on their fronts to dry.
I would recommend drying for at least a few hours. Overnight is probably best to prevent any mishaps.

That's it! Now you will have unique earrings that will get everyone talking. These also make great gifts!
Easy and cute...the best combo EVER!
