Keeping in theme with some of my "office" decorating {my office is more of a corner of the living room with a window}, I'm excited to show you what I made for one of the walls in my workspace:
See how I made the cork boards here
I don't know about you, but sometimes work is hard. Sometimes I feel overwhelmed, lose motivation, or once in a while run into clients who make me feel like my work is worthless {which reminds me that I need to thank those great clients I have that support me no matter what!}... the list goes on. On top of that, I try to keep up with blogging. It's times when I feel the weight of it all crushing me that I need something to help remind me why I decided to start my business and this blog in the first place.
"Do What You Love" and "Love What You Do"
I love designing. I love crafting. Creating things makes me happy. I love when I can design a blog or invitations for someone and they absolutely love it. It makes me so happy to put a few things together and make something beautiful to share with others on this blog. If you don't love what you do, or do what you love, then why are you doing it??
Here's what I used to put this wall art together:
Two 11x14" frames - I bought mine at the thrift store for $3 a piece
Black Spray Paint - I used Krylon in Semi-Flat Black
First we gave the ugly frames a couple of coats of black spray paint. It took about 2-3 coats.
I let the frames dry outside while I cut out the vinyl inside.
I put the text together myself on the computer, and then cut it out using my Silhouette.
I also cleaned the frame glass and then applied the vinyl directly on the glass.
I loved the look of the cardboard piece from the frame behind the quote, so I just left it!
I love how it looks and it's a great reminder to keep doing what I love, and loving what I do!!
**Disclosure: I received the vinyl to review from My Vinyl Direct. All opinions are my own.**
girl, I love it too! I seriously have sign envy...:) My mom just bought a cameo so I'm so excited to start mooching! :) Miss your face (even though I only saw it once..) :)
