{I'll give you a minute just let you drool over that photo...}
This cake was way too simple, and not to mention delicious!
Plus it has pumpkin in it, so that should help you feel a little less guilty about
Pumpkin Chocolate Chocolate Chip Cake
{Recipe from Bake at 350}
1 chocolate cake mix
1 can pumpkin (15 oz)
1/2 cup chocolate chips
2 egg whites
2 Tablespoons water
Preheat oven to 375º and grease pan well {or liners if you want to make cupcakes/muffins}
In a small bowl, whisk egg whites until white & foamy.
Then add in the rest of ingredients and mix well.
Then add in the rest of ingredients and mix well.
Bake for 13-15 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean.
The cake is delicious on its own, but I decided to get fancy...
so, while the cake is cooling, whip up some of this
Hot Chocolate Frosting
4 envelopes/1/2 cup hot chocolate
1/3 cup hot water
1/3 cup butter
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 lb powdered sugar
Mix hot chocolate & water until mix is completely dissolved.
Add butter & vanilla. Slowly mix in powdered sugar.
Add water to thin, powdered sugar to thicken.
Enjoy!!
I am about to get up to see if I have those ingredients--it's the cake mix I might be missing. I almost hope I don't have it as it seems a little late to start sucha thing...and dangerous that I'd eat over half of it!
