So, remember my awesome apothecary jars I made earlier this year? ...No? Well, that's okay. It was one of my first posts... I know this post is a little late for Christmas decorating, but you can still do this and keep them up for the rest of winter! Right? This is a quick project, so I guess you could still do it in time for Christmas if you wanted to. These really could work for any holiday - just change up the colors!
Aaaanyway.... here are my
Winter Apothecary Jars
All I needed to put these together are:
Apothecary Jars {you can see my tutorial here}
Styrofoam balls
Glitter
Mod Podge
Ribbon {I used some sparkly cord ribbon}
Ready for the instructions?
{Prepare yourself, this could be difficult...}
Poke a pin into the ball and hold on to the pin so you can paint the entire ball with Mod Podge.
Then just pour the glitter on and cover the ball completely. Gently tap to shake off excess glitter.
...and that's IT - for the ball decorating, that is....
LOVE those bright colors!!
Next, I poured some Epsom salt into the jars.
You can put as much or as little as you'd like to have the glitter balls sit in some "snow"
Tie a bow with the ribbon around the jar {or lid} and voila!
Easy!!
The Styrofoam balls look great in the jars.
ReplyDeleteSo cute and fun!! Thanks for sharing:D
ReplyDeleteThis could be done even just for general decorating. You could even change the size of the styrofoam ball. Great idea. Thanks for sharing! I am going to repost this on my blog! Happy Thursday!
