I am always looking for a way to make holidays more personalized for my family. One idea I had was to make an Easter basket more unique for my daughter. I just needed to find a cute fabric basket and I could easily give it that personal touch with vinyl!
The past few years, my daughter has either used an old bucket or flimsy Easter baskets and was long overdue for something better. I found this adorable polka dot basket in the Target spot for $3! This basket is plastic on the inside and covered in fabric, so I immediately knew what to do with it to make it our own.
I typed up my daughter's name and added Easter egg design for the "O". Then I cut it out of white glitter heat transfer vinyl with my handy Cricut.
With the basket being rounded and lined with plastic, it was going to be hard to use my regular iron. I found this Tulip Mini Fashion Iron that was the perfect size and gets just hot enough for this kind of job! I highly recommend this one if you are looking for ironing small areas or doing smaller vinyl projects with heat transfer vinyl.
Once the vinyl has adhered to the fabric, peel off the carrier sheet and the newly personalized basket is ready to fill with plastic Easter eggs, little gifts and candy!
Super cute! I love personalizing everything :)
